WHO WE ARE
‘Cuse Catholic is a home for Syracuse University, SUNY-ESF, and SUNY Upstate students who wish to live out their Catholic faith in community with like-minded individuals. As one of the top collegiate Catholic centers in the nation, we provide the Catholic Orange Family with dynamic programming that encourages relationship and faith-building. OUR HISTORY
In 1908, several Syracuse University students gathered together to form the first Brownson Club, which name was changed to the Newman Club, which became the catalyst for a real Catholic presence on campus. Since then, Catholic life at SU has grown with the university itself. Generations of students have attended Mass here, graduated, and made our Catholic alumni network stronger than ever. Today the SU Catholic Center is one of the largest growing communities of Catholic students in the nation. Through the tremendous support of our growing and dedicated Catholic Orange community, we became what and who we are today.
